In the Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, a pickup truck driving on Salih Omurtak Street entered a gas station to refuel during the night hours.
ACCELERATED UPON SEEING THE POLICE
The pump attendant, suspicious of the individual's behavior, notified the police who arrived at the station. Realizing he would be caught, the pickup truck driver accelerated, tearing off the fuel pump nozzle and fleeing. The police team then pursued the truck.
CRASHED INTO A POLE WHILE FLEEING
The chase ended about 1.5 kilometers later on Boyacılar Street in the Kemalettin neighborhood. The driver of the pickup truck, which crashed into a lighting pole, and one person with him fled on foot.
THE VEHICLE TURNED OUT TO BE STOLEN
It was revealed that the pickup truck, which had a fake license plate, was stolen from Istanbul and had been sought by the gendarmerie for several days.
