The U.S. Ambassador to Ankara, Tom Barrack, stated, "The U.S. strongly condemns the attack on the Israeli Consulate in Istanbul that took place today. Attacks on diplomatic missions are assaults on the international order and the principles that bind nations together. We commend Turkey and the Turkish Security Forces for their swift and decisive actions."

The U.S. Ambassador to Ankara and Special Representative for Syria, Tom Barrack, made a statement regarding the armed conflict near the Israeli Consulate in Istanbul.

"WE OFFER OUR PRAISES TO TURKEY FOR THEIR RAPID INTERVENTIONS"

Barrack stated in a post on his X account:

"The U.S. strongly condemns the attack on the Israeli Consulate in Istanbul that took place today. Attacks on diplomatic missions are assaults on the international order and the principles that bind nations together. We offer our praises to Turkey and the Turkish Security Forces for their rapid and decisive interventions."

 WHAT HAPPENED?

An armed conflict occurred in front of the building where the Israeli Consulate is located in Istanbul. Three terrorists affiliated with ISIS confronted the police in front of the building housing the Israeli Consulate. Police teams killed one terrorist and captured two others wounded. The consulate had been closed for 2.5 years.

IDENTITIES OF THE TERRORISTS REVEALED

The names of the terrorists were announced as Onur Ç., Enes Ç., and Yunus E.S. The deceased terrorist Yunus E.S. was identified. The wounded terrorist Onur Ç. has a drug-related criminal record. Intelligence units determined that there was very intense digital communication among the three terrorists.
