As the Hormuz Strait crisis deepens, oil prices continue to rise. The fuel price increase that was canceled yesterday will be implemented from midnight tonight. In this context, gasoline has been increased by 60 kuruş, while diesel has been raised by 7 TL 80 kuruş. With the increase to be implemented at midnight, the price of diesel will exceed 85 lira, and the cost of a 60-liter tank will rise by approximately 460 lira.
With the increase in diesel and gasoline prices, prices will reach record levels; especially the increase in diesel will be recorded as one of the highest price hikes in the history of the Republic.
The rise in oil prices continues to severely affect fuel prices. According to the information obtained, an increase of 7 lira 80 kuruş is expected for diesel per liter, and an increase of 2 lira 29 kuruş for gasoline. The new prices will be effective from tomorrow.
GASOLINE INCREASE WILL BE LIMITED
Due to the escalator system applied to gasoline, the entire increase rate will not be reflected at the pump. In this context, it is expected that approximately 60 kuruş of the 2 lira 29 kuruş increase will be reflected in prices.
PRICES SOAR IN METROPOLISES
After the increase, fuel prices are expected to reach remarkable levels in metropolitan areas. Accordingly, the price of gasoline per liter is predicted to be 63.17 lira in Istanbul, 64.14 lira in Ankara, 64.42 lira in Izmir, and 65.77 lira in eastern provinces.
For diesel, prices are expected to rise to 85.27 lira in Istanbul, 86.40 lira in Ankara, 86.67 lira in Izmir, and approximately 88 lira in eastern provinces.
COST OF FILLING THE TANK IS INCREASING
The increase in diesel will directly affect the costs of vehicle owners. A tank with an average capacity of 60 liters will be filled at approximately 460 lira higher cost after the increase.
