U.S. border officials uncovered a surprising smuggling attempt during a routine inspection. Two rare parrots brought in from Mexico were found hidden in a passenger's underwear.

An man attempting to smuggle two rare parrots from Mexico to the United States was caught at the border. The most striking aspect of the incident was that the birds were hidden in the man's underwear.

CAUGHT THE ATTENTION OF OFFICIALS

A U.S. citizen crossing from Tijuana to California drew the attention of border officials due to an unusual bulge in his pants. When officials asked what it was, the man laughed and replied, "It's my penis." However, his explanation was not convincing, and he was asked to remove his clothing.

UNDER INTERNATIONAL PROTECTION

In the man's underwear, two brown bags were found placed in the front. Inside these bags were two orange-colored, rare parrots that were unconscious but alive. This species of parrot is known to be under international protection, particularly found in western Mexico and Costa Rica.
