Following the possibility of the CHP municipality switching to the People's Alliance, the deputy mayor and council member Mehmet Engin Tüter, who was caught red-handed with a bribe of 110,000 euros in a baklava box, along with council members Mehmet Çevik, Seval Öz Özgenç, Mehmet Tosak, Osman Coşar, and Mehmet Burak Çeker, resigned. The detained deputy mayor and council member Gülsüm Özer did not submit her resignation. The District Election Board approved the resignations of the 6 detained council members after the CHP's application to the Supreme Election Council.

Following this decision, CHP substitute members Kasım Küçükkaya, Halil Ünal, Mustafa Emek, Özgün Göllü, Selma Bülbül, and Adil Baybuğ were called to duty in the Manavgat Municipal Council.
ELECTION HELD, CHP CANDIDATE WON
In the council meeting held today at 14:00 in the Side Additional Service Building, the election for the vice president was conducted. The CHP group's candidate Mehmet Çiçek and the candidate from the AKP and MHP groups, Süleyman Öz, competed. In the vote attended by all members, Mehmet Çiçek received 20 votes, surpassing Süleyman Öz, who received 16 votes, and was elected as the new vice president of the council.
