The New Welfare Party has decided to send Istanbul Deputy Doğan Bekin to the Terror-Free Turkey Commission, while EMEP has decided to send Istanbul Deputy İskender Bayhan.
The Terror-Free Turkey process, which started in October with the initiatives of MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli and continued with the PKK terrorist organization's burning of weapons, is nearing its end.
A COMMISSION WILL BE ESTABLISHED
In the new phase of the process, efforts are ongoing to establish a commission in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). The parties represented in the Assembly have started to determine their members for the commission to be formed.
The commission, which will consist of 51 members, will have 21 from the AK Party, 10 from the CHP, 4 each from the DEM Party and MHP, and 3 each from the İYİ Party and the New Path Group. HÜDA Par, TİP, EMEP, YRP, DP, and DSP, which do not have a group in the TBMM, were given 1 membership each. The İYİ Party, which was allocated a quota of 3 members, announced that it would not participate in the commission.
TWO MORE PARTIES HAVE DETERMINED THEIR MEMBERS
While the work regarding the Terror-Free Turkey Commission continues, the Chairman of the New Welfare Party, Fatih Erbakan, announced the name that will represent his party in the commission. Erbakan announced that Istanbul Deputy Doğan Bekin will be part of the commission.
EMEP has also designated Istanbul Deputy İskender Bayhan as a member of the commission.
