Despite undergoing treatment in intensive care for 3 months, Gürsoy passed away. Following his death, the young individual was arrested and sent to prison.
The Mecidiyeköy metrobüs station, one of the busiest points in Istanbul, was the scene of a violent incident that resulted in death. According to a special report by Dilek Yaman Demir from Ekol TV, 60-year-old Sezgin Gürsoy, who had hearing and speech disabilities, was pushed by a high school student while waiting to board the metrobüs. Losing his balance and hitting his head on the concrete floor, Gürsoy passed away after a three-month struggle for life.
IT ALL STARTED WITH A "BUMP"
According to allegations, Gürsoy unintentionally bumped into a high school student and his father who were waiting at the station. Angered by this, the 15-year-old pushed Gürsoy. Gürsoy, who was seriously injured, was taken to the hospital by ambulance, where it was determined that he had suffered a brain hemorrhage. Despite all interventions, Gürsoy could not be saved while receiving treatment in intensive care.
"I THOUGHT HE DID IT ON PURPOSE"
After Gürsoy's death, the 15-year-old high school student was taken into custody. In his statement to the police, he said, "First, he bumped into me and then my father. I thought he did it on purpose, I just pushed him lightly. I want my father to be heard as a witness."
HE WAS ARRESTED AND SENT TO PRISON
The young man was arrested by the court he was brought to at the courthouse and sent to prison. It was stated that his father would be called to give a statement as a witness. The judicial investigation regarding the incident is ongoing.
