Four police officers and one private security chief who were detained in the investigation into the murder of Ayşe Tokyaz were arrested by the court they were brought before.
In the case of university student Ayşe Tokyaz, whose body was found in a suitcase by the roadside in Eyüpsultan on July 13 after being murdered, Cemil Koç, who was detained, was arrested for the crime of 'premeditated murder', while six others who assisted him were arrested for 'aiding in premeditated murder'.

After the procedures were completed at the gendarmerie, the five suspects were transferred to the Küçükçekmece Courthouse and were referred to the court for arrest after their statements were taken by the prosecutor's office. The five suspects, whose statements were taken by the peace criminal court, were arrested on suspicion of "tampering with evidence".
WHAT HAPPENED?
The body of 22-year-old university student Ayşe Tokyaz was found in a suitcase by the roadside in the Mithatpaşa neighborhood of Eyüpsultan on July 13.
Police, who deepened their investigations, determined that Tokyaz had last gone to the house of her ex-boyfriend Cemil Koç in the Atakent neighborhood of Küçükçekmece, where she was killed and placed in a suitcase, which was later discarded by the roadside in Eyüpsultan.
After reviewing security camera footage, seven suspects, including former police officer Cemil Koç, who was dismissed from duty for crimes such as "resisting to prevent duty", "threat", "insult", and "intentional injury", were detained.
All of the suspects, who were referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station, were arrested. The teams from the Homicide Bureau of the Public Security Branch Directorate also detained suspects O.K. and police officer I.U.U. due to their connection to the incident.
