At the Ostrava Golden Spike athletics competition held in the Czech Republic, American athlete Craig Robinson made headlines despite winning the 400-meter hurdles race due to a wardrobe malfunction.
The 24-year-old athlete's shorts slipped during the race, exposing his private parts. While continuing the race, he tried to adjust his shorts several times, but after failing, he focused entirely on finishing.
Despite all this, Robinson completed the race in 48.05 seconds, finishing first. After crossing the finish line, he rolled on the track and lay down, smiling.
This time was just 0.10 seconds behind his personal record and also the best time of the season.
Robinson finished 0.06 seconds ahead of Brazilian Matheus Lima. The third place was taken by the host Czech athlete Vit Muller, with a time of 48.41 seconds.
This year, Craig Robinson also won a gold medal with the U.S. 4x400 meter mixed relay team at the 2025 World Relay Championships held in Guangzhou, China.
Another notable name in the competitions was 17-year-old Australian Gout Gout. In his first major race in Europe, he broke his country's record by running 200 meters in 20.02 seconds. The young athlete is being referred to as the "new Usain Bolt."
Additionally, Swedish Armand Duplantis, who holds the world record in pole vaulting, successfully cleared 6.13 meters but failed in his attempt to jump 6.29 meters. If this jump had been successful, he would have broken his own record.
