PRESIDENT FETHİ APAYDIN: WE ARE PROUD
Expressing their pride in the results achieved in the championship, the President of the Turkish Chess Federation, Fethi Apaydın, stated, "For the first time in our history, we won the top four placements in a European Age Groups Championship. It is a great pride to see the stage filled with our national jersey, our National Anthem, and our national athletes; it is hard to express. At the beginning of the year, we decided to send our athletes to the most challenging official tournaments, the European and World Age Groups Championships. The correctness of this decision, which we made by trusting our young people, has been demonstrated by the record our athletes have broken. We will continue to trust and support them. Our investments in infrastructure will continue. We cannot be proud enough of our children. We should also give special thanks to our national team coaching staff for this success. We will continue to work together, tirelessly, for the success of our country," he said.
