In the operation against an illegal betting network gang conducted in Edirne and Istanbul, 9 of the 16 suspects taken into custody were arrested. As part of the operation carried out by the Cyber Crime Department of the Edirne Provincial Police Department, a massive illegal betting network was uncovered as a result of approximately 4 months of technical surveillance and analyses by the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK). In meticulous examinations, it was determined that the network in question had a transaction volume of 300 million 844 thousand 684 lira.
9 PEOPLE ARRESTED, 5 PEOPLE RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL
Within the framework of the work coordinated by the Edirne Chief Public Prosecutor's Office; 16 suspects were taken into custody in simultaneous raids conducted in Edirne and Istanbul. The individuals whose interrogations were completed at the police station were brought to the Edirne Courthouse.
2 of the suspects were released after the prosecutor's interrogation. Of the suspects referred to the court, 9 were arrested, while 5 were released under judicial control.
