Administrative fines for those who act contrary to the Turkish Civil Aviation Law will be increased by 25.49% in 2026, ranging from 9,031 lira to 903,088 lira.
The administrative fines to be applied in 2026 for those who act contrary to the relevant articles of the Turkish Civil Aviation Law have been increased by the revaluation rate (25.49 percent). The "Notification Regarding Administrative Fines to be Imposed Under the Turkish Civil Aviation Law No. 2920," prepared by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, has been published in the Official Gazette.
It was reminded in the notification that the administrative fines have been increased by the revaluation rate, which has been determined as 25.49 percent, effective from the beginning of each calendar year.
NEW ADMINISTRATIVE FINES PUBLISHED IN THE OFFICIAL GAZETTE
Accordingly, those who act contrary to the relevant articles of the Turkish Civil Aviation Law will be fined between 9,031 lira and 903,088 lira next year. The "Notification Regarding the Re-evaluation of Administrative Fines Included in the Regulation on Administrative Fines to be Imposed by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation" has also been published in the Official Gazette.
PENALTIES WILL BE APPLIED STARTING FROM JANUARY 1, 2026
Accordingly, aviation businesses will be fined 164,613 lira for situations such as conducting flights without permission or filling out a flight plan, operating an aircraft with an open defect, and accepting cargo from unauthorized organizations. Pilots who intentionally risk flight safety will be fined 164,613 lira, while individuals conducting unauthorized laser or fireworks displays and passengers using devices and materials that produce smoke inside the aircraft will face an administrative fine of 24,681 lira. These fines will be applied starting from January 1, 2026.
