A beeswax baby and an amulet wrapped around the baby were found buried in the grave of a man who passed away four years ago in Bartın. The police have launched a large-scale investigation to identify the person or persons who buried the baby and the amulet in the grave.
A citizen named İsmail Tekin, who went to clean the family grave at Gölbucağı Cemetery in Bartın, noticed a hole at the foot of his brother's grave, who passed away in 2021.
A BABY AND AMULET MADE OF HONEY WAX WERE FOUND IN THE GRAVE
To find out the reason for the hole, Tekin discovered a baby made of honey wax and an amulet inside a candy box. İsmail Tekin first informed the police and then his journalist brother Halil Tekin.
A COMPREHENSIVE OPERATION HAS BEEN INITIATED
Police and crime scene investigation teams who arrived at the scene cordoned off the area around the grave. The teams found a baby made of honey wax, an amulet wrapped around the baby, and papers written in Turkish and Arabic letters inside the candy box that came out of the grave. The police seized the baby, amulet, and papers for examination in a criminal laboratory. The police initiated a comprehensive investigation to identify the person or persons who buried these items in the grave.
"WHAT COULD WE HAVE DONE TO DESERVE SUCH A GREAT HATRED AND VENGEANCE?"
İsmail Tekin stated that they could not make sense of the amulet and baby left at his brother's grave, saying, "The amulet was found at my brother's grave, but there are also graves of other family members here. The Turkish and Arabic writings on the papers are not fully legible, but we learned that the names of our family members are written on them. Due to the papers being wet and the ink running, they are not very readable. How could such a thing be done? What could we have done to deserve such a great hatred and vengeance? We haven't done anything to anyone. May God's wrath be upon those who wrote, did, and placed this."
