Gaziantep FK's head coach İsmet Taşdemir made statements before the match against Galatasaray, expressing that they want to start the league with a victory. The head coach of Gaziantep FK, one of the teams in the Trendyol Super League, İsmet Taşdemir, stated that they want to start the league with a victory. Speaking to reporters before the training held at the club facilities, İsmet Taşdemir noted that having the match against Galatasaray in Gaziantep is an advantage for them.

Stating that they want to win by receiving the support of the fans, Taşdemir said, "Playing against the champion of the last 3 years is important for us, of course, it’s a tough match, but every match is tough for us. The team that is better prepared at the beginning of the season will definitely win. We also want to win. We had a camp for about a month, first in Belgrade and then we concluded our work in Kayseri. Today, we entered the match week and started our preparations. We had a good training period and we worked well." he said.
Taşdemir expressed that they have some deficiencies in certain areas, stating that they agreed with a player, but it was canceled at the last moment due to his club, and that there are issues in some positions that they have not yet resolved.
Taşdemir noted that the overall performance, desire, ambition, and enthusiasm of the team are in place, and he said: "Hopefully, this will also reflect in the league.
