It was determined that the hotel was treated with pesticides shortly before the incident, and toxicological examinations are ongoing at the Forensic Medicine Institute.

The information included details about the places the Böcek family visited in the city, the food they ate, the hotel they stayed in, and other details, emphasizing that the procedures regarding the 7 people in custody are being carried out by the Homicide Bureau, and that toxicological examinations are ongoing at the Forensic Medicine Institute.

THE HOTEL WAS EVACUATED AND SEALED

As part of the investigation, the police team's examination at the hotel has been completed. The teams examined the belongings brought to the lobby area and later took some of the collected items for laboratory analysis. Customers staying at the hotel were directed to different hotels. After the examination work, municipal teams that arrived at the scene sealed the hotel.

THE THIRD TOURIST WAS ALSO ADMITTED FOR TREATMENT

Ayoub Hamraoui, who was accompanying Mustafa Taamart and Reda Fakhri, who are being treated in the hospital, was also admitted for treatment due to low heart rate. It was learned that the treatments of the 3 tourists who stayed at the same hotel are ongoing in the hospital.

THE FAMILY'S DAILY MEALS WERE DETAILED

While it is noteworthy that most of the names in custody have criminal records at the police, some parts of the Chief Public Prosecutor's information note are as follows:

"In the conducted studies; during the interview with the deceased Çiğdem BÖCEK, it was stated that they came to Istanbul for tourism purposes with her spouse and children on November 9, 2025, that they started to stay at the hotel, that they had kebabs with her spouse at a restaurant near the hotel in the evening, and that the children had pasta, that on November 10, 2025, in the morning, they had soup with her spouse again near the hotel, and that the children had pastries, that in the evening they had minced pide again near the hotel with her spouse, and that the children had sausage and cheese pizza, that on November 11, 2025, in the morning, her spouse brought pastries and simit from outside and they had breakfast at the hotel, that around 4:00 PM, the family ate mussels from a stall of a man with a dirty beard, gray hair, and a hat, aged 45-50, next to Ortaköy Mosque, and later had soup at a restaurant called Midye on Dereboyu Street, and afterwards the children had sausage bread, her spouse had kokoreç, her son Kadir Muhammet took only one bite of kokoreç, and she had chicken tantuni, and later they bought lokum from a shop called Bazaar in Fatih and ate lokum together.

On November 12, 2025, they woke up around 1:00 AM with nausea, but went to Bezmialem Hospital around 9:00 AM, where serum was administered to her and her spouse, and stomach protectors and painkillers were prescribed, and since the children were not treated at Bezmialem Hospital, they went to Çapa Hospital, where probiotics were prescribed for the children and no other treatment was applied, and then they went back to the hotel, and on the same day, they did not eat anything due to stomach discomfort, and on November 13, 2025, around 1:00 AM, they called an ambulance to the hotel because they were feeling unwell again and were taken to the hospital."

THERE ARE MANY CRIMINAL RECORDS OF THOSE DETAINED

In the information prepared by security officials, the custody status of the suspects was also included as follows:

1-) F. T (owner of the confectionery, operator, has a record for causing injury by negligence)

2-) E. E (owner of the business selling kokoreç and mussels, has 1 record for intentional injury and 1 record for resisting the performance of duty)

3-) Y. D (street mussel seller, has a total of 11 records including 5 for fraud)

4-) F. M. O (cafe owner, no record)

5-) H. O (hotel owner, has 1 record for intentional injury and a total of 2 records for benefiting from the crime)

6-) S. K (owner of the pest control company, has 1 record for causing injury by negligence, 1 for qualified fraud, and 3 records for releasing an animal in a way that poses a danger)

7-) D. C (the person who performed the pest control, worker, no police record)

8-) Baker

As part of the investigation, the statements of 6 people were taken as witnesses, none of whom had a police record, and it was also stated in the information that samples were taken from the products consumed by the victims and the deceased by the District Agriculture teams for examination.

"THE CAUSE OF DEATH HAS NOT YET BEEN DETERMINED"

"In the initial examination of the bodies of the children sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute regarding the matter, the causes of death could not be determined, and later...

In the initial examinations conducted on the mother who died on November 11, 2025, the cause of death could not be determined, and the final report regarding the deceased individuals is awaited.

PEST CONTROL WAS CONDUCTED AT THE HOTEL ON NOVEMBER 11

In the continuation of the investigations, on November 15, 2025, following the report that two individuals staying at the mentioned hotel were taken to Taksim First Aid Hospital due to poisoning, necessary actions were taken by the District Health Directorate, District Agriculture Directorate, Provincial Tourism Directorate, and AFAD, and samples were collected. It was determined that pest control was conducted by a company named "İlaçlama" around 17:00 on November 11, 2025, at the mentioned hotel. Measurements taken by AFAD indicated that no negative findings were encountered. It was also understood that no negative findings were detected in the examinations conducted by the District Health Directorate teams on the 15 individuals staying at the hotel.

Laboratory investigations regarding the results of the food samples taken are ongoing. In a meeting with the Public Prosecutor, it was stated that the victims and the deceased individuals consumed cola and tea on November 11, 2025. The owner of the establishment, F. M. O, has also been detained. Additional detention orders have been issued for the three suspects in custody, and in accordance with the instructions received again from the Public Prosecutor, the hotel owner, the son of the pest control company owner, and the personnel who conducted the pest control have been detained. Procedures regarding a total of 7 suspects are ongoing by our Homicide Bureau of the Public Security Branch.
