Murat Kılıç, who turned himself in to the police after repeatedly stabbing his 11 and 6-year-old daughters and strangling his 3-year-old son, has begun to be tried on charges of three counts of aggravated life imprisonment. It has emerged that after killing his children, Kılıç sent a message to his wife, who lives in Erzurum, saying, "What will you do without the children? Last-minute regret is of no use. The children have become part of the black earth."
On May 29, 2024, a chilling incident occurred in the basement of a four-story apartment located on Bağlar Street in the Çamlıca neighborhood of the Nilüfer district in Bursa. Murat Kılıç (40), who made a living as a painter in homes, stabbed his daughters Zeynep (11) and Aslı Kılıç (6), and strangled his son Muhammet Ali Kılıç (3) to death.
20 STAB WOUNDS FOUND ON THE GIRLS' BODIES After the incident, Kılıç went to the police and confessed to his crime. The children's bodies were taken to the Bursa Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy after an examination by the public prosecutor. I went to the market to buy cigarettes. During this time, I learned that a restraining order had been issued against me by the security forces due to my wife's complaint that I forcibly took my children away from her. I lost my mind and decided not to go to work. I went to the scene. I don't remember much. I don't know what I did. I realized what happened when my aunt called me on the phone. When I suddenly looked at myself, I saw that everything was covered in blood. At that moment, I thought I was injured. I realized what I did at that moment. I remember changing my clothes at home and going outside, writing notes on papers. I tried to take my own life three times, but I couldn't. I am very regretful. KILIC WROTE ON NOTES THE PLACES WHERE HE KILLED HIS CHILDREN In addition to the notes where he wrote the places he killed his children at home, Kılıç also left a note next to his children that read, "I had no psychological problems at all. They ruined my psychology by slandering me." In the report prepared by the Manisa Mental Health and Diseases Hospital, it was stated that he had no mental illness and that he bore full criminal responsibility for these acts.

The day I looked at the divorce case on e-Government and saw these 5 cases and this statement, I went into a frenzy. I don't know how I took my children, how I killed them. Enough, I am tired. It turns out the woman was setting a trap for me, secretly filing 5 cases against me," he said.

My dear, my only concern was my children. The woman knows I am poor and destitute, and she mocks me. Tell me. I am beating my children, damn me," accused his wife's family. The defendant, who said the family was slanderous and gossipy, stated, "My wife's family is a very strange family.
