After the observation of muddy water flowing from taps in Istanbul, a statement was made by İSKİ. In the statement, it was noted that due to the ongoing works on the transmission lines between the Ömerli Drinking Water Treatment Plant and the Çamlıca Reservoir, temporary cloudiness in the water color was observed for subscribers supplied by these lines, but it did not pose a health risk.

It has been observed that muddy water is flowing from the taps in the megacity of Istanbul. An explanation was provided by the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ) regarding the issue that has raised concerns among citizens.

"THERE IS NO HEALTH RISK"

In the statement, it was reported that due to operational works carried out on the transmission lines between the Ömerli Drinking Water Treatment Plant and the Çamlıca Reservoir, temporary cloudiness in the water color was observed for subscribers fed by these lines; however, it was stated that this cloudiness does not pose a risk to human health.

"WATER QUALITY IS EXPECTED TO RETURN TO NORMAL SOON"

In the statement made by İSKİ, it was noted that "Due to operational works carried out on the transmission lines between the Ömerli Drinking Water Treatment Plant and the Çamlıca Reservoir, temporary cloudiness in the water color has been observed for our subscribers fed by these lines. Our relevant units are carrying out the necessary discharge operations in the field, and it is expected that the water quality in our lines will return to normal shortly. The cloudiness that occurs in the color of the water does not pose any risk to human health."
