A decision for urgent expropriation has been made for certain properties in two provinces in Turkey to implement natural gas projects. According to the decision published in the Official Gazette, the state will confiscate the designated lands in the Pozantı district of Adana and in Sivas due to the natural gas projects to be carried out.

As part of the implementation of natural gas projects, urgent expropriation will be applied to certain lands in two provinces. Presidential decisions regarding the matter have been published in the Official Gazette.

URGENT EXPROPRIATION IN ADANA

According to the decision, the properties located along the route of the Natural Gas Pipeline Project to be carried out in the Pozantı district of Adana will be expropriated urgently. Lands required for fixed facilities, transportation routes, energy transmission lines, cathodic protection lines, and anode beds will also be expropriated by BOTAŞ through ownership or easement rights.

ACTIVITIES CONTINUE IN SIVAS

In another decision, it was decided to urgently expropriate the property designated for the establishment of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facilities to be used in natural gas distribution activities in Sivas.

The registration of the mentioned land in the title deed will be carried out by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority on behalf of the Treasury.
