The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Yumaklı, announced that the fire that reignited in Bursa has been brought under control. In his statement, Yumaklı said, "The Bursa Harmancık/Orhaneli fire has been brought under control. Cooling efforts in the area are ongoing."
After being brought under control in Bursa, the forest fire that reignited was announced to be extinguished by the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Yumaklı.
While Turkey has been struggling with forest fires for days, flames have risen from many of our cities. The forest fires that broke out in Bursa and spread to many districts have become the focus of the country's agenda.
THE CONTROLLED FIRE HAS RESTARTED
The forest fire that broke out in the Gürsü and Kestel districts of Bursa spread to the Harmancık and Orhaneli districts, and the fires were brought under control on the 5th day.
In the Meyran area on the Harmancık road in Orhaneli district, the fire that broke out on July 26 was brought under control on the 5th day, and cooling efforts were ongoing in the area. Smoke was rising from the vicinity of the mines in the Meyran area, and aerial and ground interventions were initiated.
JET INTERVENTION TO THE FIRE
The fire was intervened immediately. After the dedicated efforts of the teams, it was announced by the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Yumaklı, that the fire was brought under control. In his statement, Minister Yumaklı said, "The Bursa Harmancık-Orhaneli fire has been brought under control. Cooling efforts are ongoing by our teams in the region."
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
Due to the fire that started on July 26 between the Orhaneli and Harmancık districts of Bursa and grew due to the wind, the rural areas of Dutluca, Ilıcaksu, Çamoğlu, Çatalsöğüt, and Çakmak in the Harmancık district, as well as the Yakuplar and Gedikler neighborhoods of Büyükorhan in the Orhaneli district, were evacuated as a precaution. The suspect Ufuk Ayetkin, who was taken into custody regarding the fire, was arrested by the on-duty magistrate's court.
