INVESTIGATION INITIATED
In a statement made by the Yalova Governorship regarding the issue, it was announced that an investigation had been initiated for the pollution. The statement said, "Inspections were conducted at businesses located along the rainwater channel to identify the source of the pollution, and it was observed that the substance in the waste oil area of a factory in the region bore a resemblance to the pollution in the sea. In this context, a sample was taken for fingerprint matching through an accredited laboratory and sent to TÜBİTAK MAM. Additionally, a parallel sample was taken for hazard analysis."
