Journalist Barış Yarkadaş has made a claim that will be widely discussed in the political agenda.
Yarkadaş claimed that if a political ban is imposed on Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was arrested and suspended from his position as part of the 'corruption' operation against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, the 11th President Abdullah Gül could emerge as a serious option among the CHP's presidential candidates.
"ABDULLAH GÜL COULD BE CHP'S CANDIDATE"
Speaking during a live broadcast on tv100, Yarkadaş stated: "If Abdullah Gül is seriously brought to the table as one of the presidential candidates of the CHP in the upcoming period, do not be surprised, I am saying this based on information. This is new information. Abdullah Gül was also discussed in 2018. At that time, we were in the same group with Mustafa Ağabey, we were members of parliament. It was discussed in a closed meeting, and we objected. But I emphasize for the 2028 elections, if Abdullah Gül is brought to the table as a serious option among the CHP's presidential candidates, no one should be surprised.
"MANSUR YAVAŞ IS NOT ON THE CANDIDATE LIST AT CHP HEADQUARTERS"
After a certain period, if a political ban is imposed on Ekrem İmamoğlu, and if some obstacles are put in front of his political activities, and if Abdullah Gül's name is mentioned, no one should be surprised. Mansur Yavaş is not on the candidate list at CHP headquarters."
