"OUR MINISTER PERSONALLY INFORMED US THAT OUR DEMANDS WOULD BE MET"

The family's lawyer İrem İlhan said the following regarding the meeting: "Today we had a meeting with our Minister Yılmaz Tunç. We discussed the part of the case that has been addressed so far and what we can do moving forward. It was a productive meeting. We had a meeting lasting nearly 1.5 hours. As the Diyarbakır Bar Association, we conveyed our demands. As you all know, we requested the expansion of the case in terms of the areas where the DNA was found, the expansion of the case within the context of sexual assault under the criminal law, and for the forensic experts to prepare better reports. The Ministry's response to us on this matter was very positive. They conveyed that they would follow up on the case, evaluate all our suggestions, and meet our demands personally through our minister."
