The host of TV100, Kübra Par, drew great reaction with her hand gesture while closing the main news bulletin. Apologizing by saying "I lost my composure" for the gesture she made during the program's opening last night, Kübra Par also made striking evaluations regarding the detention of her colleague Barış Pehlivan, who was taken into custody for recording and broadcasting a phone conversation with an expert without permission.
"AGAINST THE FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES OF JOURNALISM"
Kübra Par stated that the fundamental rules of journalism are clear, saying, "The principles regarding how recorded and unrecorded conversations should be conveyed are established. We have been talking about Barış Pehlivan for 2 days; he has been taken into custody. Calling the expert without indicating that the conversation is being recorded, and even trying to trap him, was against the fundamental principles of journalism," she expressed.
"IT DID NOT SUIT ME AT ALL"
Clarifying her hand gesture, Kübra Par emphasized that television is a profession that requires attention and care, and that they must be cautious, stating, "In this profession, to which I have dedicated my years, I have always tried to act with this awareness. However, yesterday for a moment, I lost my composure. When the generic music started, I thought we had gone off the air, I thought the camera had zoomed out, and I behaved in a way that does not suit me at all. It did not suit me at all," she said.
