SPECIAL: SARAÇHANE WILL TURN INTO A DIFFERENT FORMAT
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, who broke his fast with citizens at the communal table set up in front of the IMM headquarters in Saraçhane, stated regarding the issue, "The night meetings at 20:30 will come to an end for Saraçhane, but Saraçhane will turn into a different format."
"THIS PLACE WILL BE TRANSFORMED INTO A CENTER WHERE ISTANBUL WILL CELEBRATE WITH EKREM PRESIDENT"
Özel's statement is as follows: "Today we spoke with Ekrem President. There will be iftars throughout Ramadan, and starting tomorrow, there will even be entertainment for children. This place will be transformed into a center where Istanbul will celebrate with Ekrem President during the holiday. As the CHP, we will also celebrate here with him and all of Istanbul."
"WE ARE EITHER AT MALTEPE OR YENIKAPI"
On Saturday, there is the eve before the holiday. We are on the eve of both Turkey's democracy holiday and the Ramadan holiday. We are in one of the two major squares. We are either at Maltepe or Yenikapı, but we will continue to fight shoulder to shoulder against the coup plotters.
"WE ARE STARTING OUR ELECTION CAMPAIGN"
We are not extinguishing anything in Saraçhane. While concluding the resistance against the coup in Saraçhane, we are all rising together to start our election campaign for the release of Ekrem İmamoğlu, his trial without detention, the broadcasting of the trials on TRT, and the initiation of the early election process.
