The artist Mazhar Alanson's daughter, Melek Eda Alanson, was laid to rest at Zincirlikuyu Cemetery following the funeral prayer held at Fatih Mosque. Alanson, struggling to stand, was joined by many figures from the art community at the funeral.
Eda Alanson, daughter of Mazhar Alanson, was bid farewell on her final journey after the funeral prayer held at Fatih Mosque. In a statement to the press, Alanson expressed that the pain of losing a child is very difficult, saying, "If you have children, you know. There aren't many words to say; these are not things that can be expressed." The artist's wife, Biricik Suden, thanked everyone who conveyed their condolences and spoke about her social media post, saying, "While Mazhar is trying to stay strong, calling and crying out louder than Mazhar; of course, Mazhar is negatively affected by this. Therefore, I made a request."
"FATHERS FEEL THIS VERY WELL"
Artist Orhan Gencebay stated that Eda Alanson was the apple of her father's eye, saying, "My Lord knows everything, undoubtedly. May God grant her abundant mercy. The pain of losing a child is unlike anything else. May God not show this pain to any father or mother. May she rest in peace. I am also a father; fathers feel this very well. May God grant patience."
MANY FAMOUS NAMES ATTENDED THE FUNERAL TO SUPPORT ALANSON
Among those who attended the funeral were Mazhar Alanson's son Hilmi Alanson, Fuat Güner from the MFÖ group, Özkan Uğur's wife Aysun Aslan and son Alişan Uğur, cartoonist and actor Hasan Kaçan, President of the Turkish Scout Federation Hasan Subaşı, and many others including İzzet Öz. Melek Eda Alanson's funeral was later buried at Zincirlikuyu Cemetery.
