A forest fire that broke out in the Şarköy district of Tekirdağ spread over a wide area due to the wind. While the fire has not yet been brought under control, the neighborhoods affected by the flames have been evacuated. Citizens made extraordinary efforts to move their cattle and sheep to safe areas. THE FIRE IN TEKİRDAĞ GREW
While forest fires broke out in Bursa, Manisa, Konya, Bolu, and Çanakkale; the forest fire in Tekirdağ grew due to the effect of the wind.
SPREAD TO RESIDENTIAL AREAS
Despite the teams' dedicated efforts, the fire, which grew rapidly with the wind, also spread to residential areas. While the neighborhoods affected by the flames were evacuated; some residents left their homes and departed the neighborhood in arriving minibuses. Farmers also began to evacuate their homes and move their animals to safe areas.
3 NEIGHBORHOODS EVACUATED
After the neighborhoods of Şenköy and Kocaali, the Kızılcaterzi neighborhood, which was threatened by the approaching flames, was also evacuated. Şarköy Mayor Alpay Var stated that the fire has grown and spread to other neighborhoods. In his statement, Var said, "We evacuated our citizens in the neighborhoods of Şenköy, Kocaali, and Kızılcaterzi. We helped evacuate the animals with the assistance of the teams. The teams continue to take the animals to safe areas. There is no longer a risk in the neighborhoods of Kocaali and Şenköy. The risk continues in Kızılcaterzi. The teams are intervening to prevent the fire from reaching the neighborhood. The fire is still ongoing in the forested area. Surrounding provinces and all institutions are working hard," he stated.
CONSTRUCTION MACHINE WENT OFF THE ROAD DURING INTERVENTION
Due to the wind in the region, efforts to bring the flames under control are being carried out with great effort. In the works in Kızılcaterzi neighborhood, a construction machine went off the road and rolled over. It was also observed that agricultural equipment in the neighborhoods was burned.

Meanwhile, footage related to the fire, which spread over a wide area, revealed the extent of the fire. In the images captured by citizens' mobile phone cameras, it was seen that the flames illuminated the night.
