Former Minister of Interior and Chief of Police Mehmet Ağar visited Mustafa Çiftçi, who has been newly appointed to the Ministry of Interior. The new Minister Çiftçi announced Ağar's visit on his social media account.
Çiftçi shared the photo taken with Ağar with the following message:

CAREER FROM THE FIELD TO BUREAUCRACY
Mustafa Çiftçi, born in 1970 in Konya, started his administrative career by getting a taste of the field. Çiftçi served as a District Governor in the following districts across different regions of Turkey:
Gülağaç (Aksaray),
Tekman (Erzurum),
Derinkuyu (Nevşehir),
Adilcevaz (Bitlis),
Kaman (Kırşehir).
EXPERIENCE IN MINISTRY AND PARLIAMENT
Çiftçi, who took on critical responsibilities in the Ankara bureaucracy, served as the Department Head within the General Directorate of Personnel of the Ministry of Interior. He then moved to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), where he held strategic positions such as Private Secretary and Chief Advisor to the President.
FROM GOVERNORSHIP TO CABINET
Appointed as the Governor of Çorum in 2018 and serving there for 5 years, Çiftçi was appointed as the Governor of Erzurum in 2023. While his term in Erzurum was ongoing, he became the head of the Ministry of Interior with the latest decree published, becoming the new manager of internal security and local government policies as a person with a background in administrative governance.
Mustafa Çiftçi, who is married and a father of three, speaks English and Arabic.
