The incident occurred around 3:30 PM on Şeftali Street in the Sultan Murat neighborhood of Küçükçekmece. Allegedly, while the police vehicle was conducting a patrol in the area, a drug addict insulted the police teams by saying, "Why are you wandering around, what are you doing here?"
ATTACKED POLICE WITH A MACHETE
As the police teams got out of the vehicle, the drug addict attacked them with a machete. Citizens who heard the commotion on the street reported the situation to the police and medical teams. Following the report, a large number of police teams were dispatched to the area. A scuffle broke out between the police teams that arrived at the scene and the relatives of the individual.
6 PEOPLE INJURED, 4 OF THEM POLICE
In the incident, 6 people were injured, including 4 police officers and 2 citizens who were trying to break up the fight. The injured were taken to the hospital after the first intervention by the medical teams.
