HE CUT HER THROAT WHILE SHE WAS SLEEPING IN BED
The incident occurred around 11:00 AM in the top floor of a five-story apartment building in the Topçuasım neighborhood. Ercan Özer, a father of two who had been experiencing marital problems for some time, cut the throat of his wife Emine Özer with a knife while she was sleeping in bed at home.

While Emine Özer was left in a pool of blood, it was reported that Ercan Özer called his grandchild after the incident and said, "I killed your grandmother."
THE 83-YEAR-OLD SUSPECT IS IN CUSTODY
Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the address. During the examination by the health teams, it was determined that Emine Özer had lost her life. While the police teams conducted an investigation at the scene, the suspect Ercan Özer was taken into custody. After the examination by the public prosecutor at the scene, Emine Özer's body was taken to the morgue of Manisa Merkezefendi State Hospital. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
