While fluctuations in Brent crude oil prices continue, gasoline and diesel prices are also varying with news of discounts and price increases. Last night, the price of autogas (LPG) increased by 1 lira and 40 kuruş, and with the price hike reflected at the pump, the price of autogas in Istanbul reached 27 lira and 2 kuruş per liter.
Citizens continue to monitor gasoline and diesel prices along with changes in Brent oil prices and currency exchange rates.
THE PRICE OF AUTOGAS HAS REACHED 27 LIRA AND 8 KURUŞ
While a silent increase of 1 lira and 40 kuruş in autogas (LPG) occurred at midnight, the price reflected at the pump has resulted in the price of autogas reaching 27 lira and 2 kuruş in Istanbul.
THE TANK WILL BE FILLED FOR 1,137 LIRA
With this increase, an average 42-liter autogas tank, which was filled for 165.9 TL in 2021, will now be filled for 1,137 TL today.
HOW ARE FUEL PRICES CALCULATED?
Fuel prices are calculated by refineries based on the average prices of refined products in the Mediterranean market, which includes Turkey, and changes in the dollar exchange rate. As a result of this calculation, the prices applied by distribution companies may show slight variations due to competition and freedom among companies and cities.
EPGIS HAD DECIDED NOT TO ANNOUNCE PRICE CHANGES
After the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) filed a complaint against EPGIS, the only union that announces changes in prices, the union announced that it would not share fuel price changes with citizens until the legal process is concluded.
