The Sumud Fleet, which set out to deliver aid to Gaza, was raided by Israel, resulting in the detention of hundreds of activists, including Turkish activists. Israeli Security Minister Ben Gvir insulted the detained activists by shouting "You are terrorists" before they were sent to prison. The activists responded with slogans of "Free Palestine."

The Global Sumud Fleet, which set out to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, was raided by Israeli forces. During the raid, the boats were seized, and many activists, including 48 Turks, were detained and taken to Ashdod port.

BEN GVIR CALLED ACTIVISTS "TERRORISTS"

Scandalous images emerged from Ashdod port on Thursday evening. Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel's far-right Minister of National Security, insulted the activists sitting on the ground under the supervision of armed soldiers, revealing the extent of the incident.

Ben Gvir verbally attacked the activists detained on the Sumud Fleet, repeatedly calling them "Terrorists" while they awaited transfer to Israeli prisons. While Gvir claimed that the activists had weapons on the boat, the captured Sumud Fleet activists shouted slogans of "Free Palestine."

Ben Gvir stated, "You are all terrorists. You support murderers, you support Gaza, you support terrorists. You are supporters of terrorism. There is no humanitarian aid here. Moreover, weapons were found on their ships. They did not come for humanitarian aid. They came to be alongside terrorists in Gaza. These are terrorists. A complete terrorist group. This is their ship, the investigation continues. They are looking for humanitarian aid here. But they found nothing. Is this humanitarian aid? I see nothing here. There are only empty promises. Just as it was said. This is a huge theater. What a theater! There is neither aid nor anything humanitarian."

THE FLEET'S SMALLEST SHIP IS HEADING TO GAZA ALONE

The smallest ship of the Sumud Fleet, Marinette, which set out to break the Gaza blockade, is heading to Gaza alone after escaping Israeli intervention. Sinan Akınotu, one of the activists on the boat, stated in an interview with CNN Türk that they were following the fleet 100 miles behind due to engine failure, which allowed them to escape the Israeli attack last night. Akınotu said, "Let’s pray that Israel's eyes go blind, and hopefully, we reach Gaza without being seen."

"TURKISH ACTIVISTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE RELEASED IN THE COMING DAYS"

In a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the Turkish activists, it was said, "The situation of our citizens on the boats seized by Israeli forces while sailing in international waters is being closely monitored, and all necessary initiatives are being taken. Although there may be some delays in completing the procedures due to religious holidays in Israel, it is expected that our citizens will be released in the coming days."
