Mine Koşan shared her music career, which she started at a young age, the years spent in hardship, and the deep wounds in her personal life on the program "Haber Bahane." The artist, who tearfully revealed that her husband cheated on her with another woman, expressed her trauma with the words, "I couldn't go out for two months. Even though I didn't want a divorce, I told him, 'You are going to divorce me.'"
The master of arabesque and fantasy music, Mine Koşan, was a guest on the Haber Bahane program hosted by Gökay Kalaycıoğlu on Haberler.com screens. In an interview where she couldn't hold back her tears, Koşan sincerely opened up about her inner world; she shared her childhood traumas, the behind-the-scenes of her music journey, and the turning points in her personal life.
"I STEPPED ON STAGE AT 8 BUT NEVER HAD A DOLL"
Stating that she started her artistic life while still in elementary school, Koşan described her childhood years as follows: "I stepped on stage at 8, recorded my first album at 11. But I never played outside. I never had a doll. I didn't grow up like other children. My childhood was spent on stage."
Speaking about the special bond she had with her father, the artist said, "My father's eyes would light up when I sang folk songs. I started music so that his face would smile."
"I CAME FROM POVERTY, I BROUGHT MY FIRST MONEY HOME IN A BAG"
Describing how she supported her family during a time of financial difficulties with the money she earned from music, Koşan recounted this process with the following words: "My parents were in the textile business, but when they lost their jobs, we became poor. At that time, I would tell my mother, 'I will bring you money in a bag.' When I received my first payment, I really brought it home in a bag and shouted, 'Mom, I got money!' I will never forget that day."
"I CAUGHT MY HUSBAND WITH ANOTHER WOMAN, MY SOUL BURNED"
Sharing a striking memory about her personal life in the interview, Mine Koşan recounted the great betrayal she experienced in her first marriage years later. "I opened the door, and the bed was laid out on the floor. There was a woman sitting there. I asked, 'Who is this?' It was a huge trauma. My soul burned. I saw his jacket, the lights were on. I had entered the house with the key my brother gave me. At that moment, my world collapsed." She expressed her emotional devastation with the words, "I couldn't leave the house for two months. I thought about going on a pilgrimage. I couldn't breathe. I was finished." After the betrayal, Koşan decided to get a divorce, saying, "I called my lawyer. I said, 'Even if I change my mind tomorrow, you will divorce me.' I made my final decision that day," explaining her firm stance during that period.
"THEY CAST A SPELL ON ME, THEY EVEN USED PIG FAT"
One of the most striking moments of the program was Mine Koşan's claims regarding "spiritual attacks."
"They troubled me a lot. They cast spells. I saw everything, including pig fat. But I took refuge in God and escaped with prayers," the artist emphasized that she emerged from dark times thanks to her faith.
