Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan made evaluations regarding the post-revolution process in Syria during a TRT World broadcast. Emphasizing that the fight against ISIS can be continued through cooperation, Fidan gave clear messages regarding the integration of the SDF with the Damascus administration.
FIDAN: REGIONAL COOPERATION IS ESSENTIAL IN THE FIGHT AGAINST ISIS
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan made important statements about current issues on TRT World screens. Stating that regional cooperation has increased with the end of the civil war in Syria and the strengthening of the Damascus administration, Fidan said that joint action is necessary against the ISIS threat. Fidan stated, "As long as there is a cooperation mechanism, we can cope with the ISIS threat."
EMPHASIS ON TURKEY'S EXPERIENCE IN FIGHTING TERRORISM
Expressing that they have comprehensive experience in combating terrorism for the last 40 years, Fidan emphasized that Turkey's struggle against terrorist organizations, primarily the PKK, has also created a strong infrastructure against the ISIS threat in the region.

Fidan stated that Turkey is pursuing a common agenda against ISIS together with the USA and regional countries, saying, "We must never allow any terrorist element to derail the Syrian people and state from the path of recovery."
