The first 8 articles of the 2026 Central Government Budget Law Proposal were accepted in the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM). Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç, while answering the questions of the deputies in the TBMM General Assembly regarding the 2026 budget discussions, spoke about the insulting chants directed at Leyla Zana by Bursaspor fans.

"NECESSARY JUDICIAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE INVESTIGATIONS ARE BEING CONDUCTED"

Minister Tunç stated: "Mr. Koçyiğit and Mr. Dündar addressed the issues related to the slogans that occurred in Bursa and some stadiums. Of course, sports is brotherhood, sports is peace, it is a universal value that we need to strengthen our solidarity. It should never be a reason for division. It should not be a tool for sports and othering. We are of this opinion. We are going through a sensitive process. We all want the process of a terrorism-free Turkey to succeed. We want there to be no attitudes and behaviors that would harm this process. At this point, it will be in the interest of this country and this nation for everyone to act responsibly. Of course, while expressing our reaction to such incidents, we should not generalize. Especially if there is a situation that harms the process. Therefore, we all need to act responsibly, especially for the peace and security of our country and for our future, without falling into these provocations. Otherwise, our country will be harmed. Necessary administrative and judicial investigations are being conducted regarding the incidents. In this regard, especially the analyses of the incidents that occurred there are being focused on by the relevant authorities."

The first 8 articles of the 2026 Central Government Budget Law Proposal were accepted in the TBMM General Assembly. In the budget marathon in the General Assembly, the 9th to 15th articles of the 2026 Central Government Budget Law Proposal will be discussed tomorrow.
