Journalist Levent Gültekin was detained by police while sitting in a café in Bebek, Istanbul. His lawyer, Çağrı Çetin, announced the development, stating that Gültekin was taken to the Vatan Security Directorate and that his statement would be taken at the Cyber Crime Unit.

In a statement made on his social media account, Çetin used the expression, "My client Levent Gültekin has been detained." It was reported that Gültekin was detained by police teams while sitting in a café in Bebek at 01:20.
HIS STATEMENT WILL BE TAKEN AT THE CYBER CRIME UNIT
It was learned that Levent Gültekin was taken to Vatan Police Station and that his statement will be taken at the Cyber Crime Unit tomorrow.
WHO IS LEVENT GÜLTEKİN?
53-year-old Gültekin was born in the Göle district of Ardahan. He completed his undergraduate degree in Public Administration at Anadolu University and his master's degree in International Relations at Selçuk University.
He began his career in the media sector in 1995 with Yeni Şafak. After working in various departments, he became the general manager in 2000. At the end of 2000, he left there and published the weekly magazine Gerçek Hayat.
In 2007, he served as a senior executive at Star Media Group, and in 2009, at Cine5 Media Group. After leaving Cine5 in 2010, he started writing columns and providing commentary.
