AK Party member Şamil Tayyar made a striking statement regarding Mehmet Akif Ersoy, who was arrested as part of a "drug" investigation. Referring to the allegations in Ersoy's case, Tayyar stated, "When we examine the details and connect the dots, it becomes clear that deviant relationships and drug use have surpassed the 'pleasure' aspect. It appears that they have influenced the state, politics, commerce, and the judiciary to obtain unjust gains, and have infiltrated the judiciary, bureaucracy, and media."
