The echoes of giant locusts entering Turkey through the Balkans continue in Istanbul. The massive-sized locusts, which have taken over homes and workplaces in recent days, continue to cause panic among city residents. A new one has been added to the series of locust footage recorded by citizens. The unusual moments of a giant locust entering a home and drinking water eagerly from a water bowl were captured on a mobile phone camera.
In recent days, especially with the warming weather, giant grasshoppers appearing in the evening hours in Istanbul have infiltrated homes, workplaces, balconies, and gardens, turning into a nightmare for city residents. These uninvited guests, which have also sparked widespread reaction on social media, continue to hold their place on the city's agenda.
CITIZENS COULDN'T BELIEVE THEIR EYES
Previously recorded by many citizens in a panic with their mobile phone cameras from a distance and while in motion, the giant grasshoppers were this time captured up close inside a home. In Istanbul, moments were recorded second by second when a grasshopper of enormous size, entering a residence, greedily and for an extended period drank water from a small container placed on a table. The grasshopper's size and its lack of fear of humans amazed onlookers.

Similar images continue to arrive from different parts of the city, especially from districts near green areas. While Istanbulites hesitate to open their windows in the evening hours, they await explanations from experts on the matter.
