After the decision made by the Process Commission to visit İmralı, BBP leader Mustafa Destici made statements, saying, "There can be no negotiations with terrorism or the terrorist leader. These attempts have been made before, and unfortunately, the Republic of Turkey paid the price. If there is someone who should be taken into account, it is the families that have stood by the state and the nation throughout a thousand-year process."
Great Unity Party (BBP) Chairman Mustafa Destici stated, "We have never accepted the terrorist organization as the representative of our Kurdish brothers, and we do not accept it now. Therefore, we do not find it right to engage with them. If there is someone who should be engaged with, it is those families who have stood by this state and nation for a thousand years throughout history. Those are the real ones you should engage with."
BBP Chairman Mustafa Destici attended a training meeting for the Mediterranean and Southeastern Anatolia organizations at the party's headquarters. Destici emphasized that the PKK has caused the most harm to the local people for over 40 years, stating, "There can be no negotiation with terrorism or terrorists. The bill for this has been paid by the state, the nation, and most of all, the people of the region in the past."
"IT IS THOSE WHO HOLD THE LEASH OF THE EMPIRE"
Destici noted that the local people do not accept the PKK as the representative of the Kurds, using the following expressions: "Because we all know that this bloody and treacherous terrorist organization, the PKK, is not the representative of the Kurds, but rather of imperialists, Zionists, and more specifically, the USA, some Western states, and their intelligence organizations like the CIA and MOSSAD. They are their puppets. That is why I said recently; 'You cannot engage with them without removing the leash that imperialists, Zionists, and these intelligence organizations have around their necks.' Because on the surface, you might think the terrorist leader or the representatives of the terrorist organization, their political extensions, are the ones to engage with, but in reality, it is those who hold the chain of the leash around their necks. We must never forget this.
"PROBLEMS CANNOT BE SOLVED BY NEGOTIATING WITH THEM"
There can be no negotiation with terrorism or the terrorist leader. Problems cannot be solved by negotiating with them. These have been tried before, and unfortunately, the Republic of Turkey paid the price. The Turkish nation, with its Kurds, Turkmens, Arabs, Circassians, Alevis, and Sunnis, paid the price. Most of all, our brothers living in the region paid the price. Now, once again, our brothers who have stood by the state, sacrificed their lives as security guards, dedicated everything to the fight against terrorism, and stood by the existence of the state and the unity of the nation are concerned. We have never accepted the terrorist organization as the representative of our Kurdish brothers, and we do not accept it now. Therefore, we do not find it right to engage with them. If there is someone who should be engaged with, it is those families who have stood by this state and nation for a thousand years throughout history. Those are the real ones you should engage with."
