55-year-old Özmen filed a paternity lawsuit against Trump by applying to the competent court in Washington. The Ankara 27th Family Court had decided to reject the case, stating that the claim was not based on concrete evidence. However, Özmen appealed the decision and took the case to the appellate court.
In her lawsuit petition, Özmen stated that she was born in 1970 and appeared in the population records as the child of Satı and Dursun Özmen. Necla Özmen expressed that Dursun Özmen passed away in 2009 and that Satı Özmen, who raised her, told her the truth in 2017.
Necla Özmen claimed that Satı Özmen had given birth to a stillborn baby in the hospital and that she was told that a woman named Sophia, who gave birth at the same time and became pregnant by Trump as a result of an illicit relationship at that time, had given her the baby. Necla Özmen requested a DNA test to identify her father.
