Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that Hamas violated the ceasefire agreement on Sunday, stating that they struck dozens of targets in Gaza with 153 tons of bombs.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in his speech at the opening session of the country's parliament Knesset, stated, "The government under my leadership has not accepted any of Hamas's demands. We have eliminated the existential threat above us and dealt blows to the Iranian axis. We have increased Israel's deterrent power, brought back our living hostages, and we will also bring back the deceased hostages still there."
"WE STRUCK DOZENS OF TARGETS IN GAZA WITH 153 TONS OF BOMB"
Netanyahu, who claimed that Hamas clearly violated the ceasefire agreement the day before, said, "Hamas felt our power immediately. We struck dozens of targets in Gaza with 153 tons of bomb. A ceasefire is not a permit for Hamas to threaten us. Aggression against us will come at a very heavy price. At the end of the process we agreed upon with U.S. President Donald Trump, Hamas's military and political power will be eliminated."
HAMAS HANDED OVER THE BODY OF ISRAELI HOSTAGE TO THE RED CROSS
The military wing of Hamas, Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, yesterday handed over the body of an Israeli hostage, which was reportedly retrieved from the rubble, to a delegation from the International Red Cross as part of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement.
In a statement from the Israeli army, it was noted that the Red Cross received the coffin containing the body. The statement said, "The coffin of the deceased hostage crossed the Israeli border a short while ago, accompanied by army units, and is being taken to the National Forensic Institute for identification procedures."
