Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's wife, Sara Netanyahu, defended herself in the Jerusalem Regional Labor Court in a lawsuit filed by a former employee against her.
LAWSUIT FOR COMPENSATION FROM FORMER EMPLOYEE
Sylvie Genesia, who worked as a cleaner at the Prime Minister's Residence, filed a lawsuit for 650,000 shekels (approximately 179,400 dollars) against the wife of the Israeli Prime Minister and the company she worked for due to Sara Netanyahu's mistreatment of her.
HARASSMENT, HUMILIATION, NAME-CALLING, THROWING IRON...
Genesia accused Sara Netanyahu of harassment, humiliation, name-calling, and throwing an iron at her. Sara Netanyahu responded by claiming that the accusations against her were false, stating, "I did not call her names." Sara Netanyahu, who said that Genesia was not her employer, argued that this constituted an invasion of her privacy.
THIS IS NOT SARA NETANYAHU'S FIRST INCIDENT
This is not the first incident where the wife of the Israeli Prime Minister has been accused of mistreatment and abuse of her employees. In 2017, Sara Netanyahu was ordered to pay 170,000 shekels (approximately 44,000 dollars) in a similar lawsuit filed by a former employee. The judge of the case found Netanyahu guilty on the grounds of "unreasonable demands, insults, humiliation, and outbursts of anger." A French woman working at the Prime Minister's Residence also filed a similar lawsuit against Netanyahu in 2020 for 650,000 shekels (189,000 dollars).
INVOLVED IN BINYAMIN NETANYAHU'S CORRUPTION CASE
Additionally, an investigation was launched against Sara Netanyahu for allegedly intimidating a witness and attempting to interfere in the ongoing corruption case against her husband, Binyamin Netanyahu.
