The Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Osman Boyraz, who spoke about the high-speed train projects being worked on, stated that they will put a high-speed train running at 225 kilometers per hour on the tracks in January 2026. Boyraz said, "We will undertake a new major project. We are constructing a high-speed train line that will travel between Ankara and Istanbul at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It will take 80 minutes."
