The regulation regarding driving schools and driver's license exams has come into effect. According to this, the exam duration has been increased from 35 minutes to 40 minutes. While making changes in the parking maneuver, driver candidates were given an additional chance for reverse parking.

The regulation regarding driving schools and driver's license exams has been published in the Official Gazette. With the implementation of the new regulation, many changes have been made in various aspects, from course registrations to exam durations.

EXAMS WILL BE HELD ON 2 DIFFERENT ROUTES

In the regulation prepared by the Ministry of National Education, practical driving exams will be conducted on 2 different routes determined by the provincial directorates of national education and approved according to the legislation. Traffic Instructor Zakir Çelepkolu, who specifies the points that those who will obtain a driver's license should pay attention to with the new regulation, stated that parallel parking will be performed in an oval shape during the parallel parking stage.

EXAM DURATION IS NOW 40 MINUTES

Çelepkolu said, "While the exam duration was 35 minutes before, it will now be implemented as 40 minutes. Previously, we had a fixed route, but now there will be two different routes for the exam, and on the day of the exam, the exam commissions will draw lots and subject the candidate to the exam on one of the routes determined by the draw. In the reverse parking stage, while there used to be one maneuver to enter and park the vehicle and two maneuvers to correct it, with the change made, one more maneuver is added, which means an extra chance to make one more maneuver."

"U-TURN POINT WILL BE DESIGNATED"

Çelepkolu, stating that U-turns will be made with the new regulation, said, "A U-turn point will be designated at a suitable location on the exam routes, and the candidates will make U-turns from there. The most important point is the joker problem that we encounter especially in our region and also in other regions. What is the joker problem? It is when someone else takes the exam on behalf of a student. Now, after the person who comes to the driving school and registers fills out the application form themselves, their photo will be taken by the driving school in a live environment and transferred to the Ministry of National Education's Information Systems, MEBBİSE. In addition, their biometric photo will also be transferred to the system. In this way, the ministry will be able to prevent this to some extent. There will also be some initiatives for disabled individuals. If suitable arrangements are made for our disabled citizens' own vehicles, they may be able to take the exam with their own vehicles," he said.
