NASA Administrator Sean Duffy announced that a "village" powered by nuclear energy will be established on the Moon within the next 10 years, where life will be sustained.

NASA President Sean Duffy, speaking at the International Space Congress held in Sydney, Australia, made striking statements.

NASA: WE WILL BUILD A NUCLEAR VILLAGE ON THE MOON

If the U.S. space strategy succeeds, a "village" powered by nuclear energy will be established on the Moon within the next 10 years.

Duffy spoke during a session held with the heads of space agencies from the U.S., China, Japan, India, Europe, and Canada. The absence of Russia from the list was notable, while NASA President indirectly referred to this by stating, "We come to space for peace. We have no intention of taking people's lands."

"WE WILL BE VERY CLOSE TO SENDING HUMANS TO MARS"

Describing NASA's goals for the next 10 years, Duffy said, "It will not only be a forward base on the Moon, but it will also be a village powered by nuclear energy. Additionally, we will be very close to sending humans to Mars."

This year's congress theme was determined as "Sustainable Space: Resilient Earth." Duffy emphasized that NASA's responsibility is to make human life sustainable in space, while other agency heads focused more on Earth-centered messages.
