Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 286 suspects have been apprehended in police operations targeting FETÖ over the past month in 50 provinces. It has been learned that the suspects used the encrypted communication application ByLock on their mobile phones and were wanted for contacting responsible individuals within the organization using payphones.

Minister Yerlikaya shared the following details regarding the operations: "As a result of the efforts made by our Provincial Police Chiefs' TEM and KOM Branch Directorates, coordinated with our Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices, EGM TEM Department, KOM, and Intelligence Departments; the suspects caught in the operations carried out in Adana, Afyonkarahisar, Aksaray, Ankara, Antalya, Aydın, Batman, Bingöl, Bursa, Çanakkale, Çorum, Denizli, Düzce, Edirne, Elazığ, Erzurum, Eskişehir, Gaziantep, Giresun, Gümüşhane, Hatay, Isparta, Istanbul, Izmir, Kahramanmaraş, Kars, Kayseri, Kırıkkale, Kocaeli, Konya, Kütahya, Malatya, Manisa, Mardin, Mersin, Muğla, Muş, Nevşehir, Niğde, Ordu, Osmaniye, Rize, Sakarya, Samsun, Sivas, Şanlıurfa, Tekirdağ, Tokat, Trabzon, and Zonguldak were wanted for committing crimes such as operating within the terrorist organization's 'current structure, financial structure, military confidential structure, and confidential structure', being a user of the organization's encrypted communication program ByLock, and being in contact with responsible individuals within the organization using payphones.
