In an operation targeting FETÖ/PDY in 11 provinces centered around Istanbul, 93 out of 94 tax inspectors, who are either dismissed or actively serving within the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, were detained. It was determined that one suspect is abroad.
As part of the instructions given to the Istanbul Police Department's Counter-Terrorism Branch by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Terror Crimes Investigation Bureau, a study was initiated to uncover the actions and activities of the FETÖ/PDY armed terrorist organization.
AN OPERATION WAS CARRIED OUT AGAINST TAX INSPECTORS
An operation was conducted against a total of 94 tax inspectors who were found to have established connections in accordance with organizational communication techniques using payphone card systems from payphones, which are one of the secret communication methods of the FETÖ/PDY Armed Terrorist Organization; confessions were made against them regarding their actions and activities within the terrorist organization, and they were evaluated to have participated in organizational activities while serving in active duty or being expelled from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance.
93 SUSPECTS WERE ARRESTED
In the operation carried out in 11 provinces centered in Istanbul, a total of 93 suspects were detained, while it was determined that 1 suspect was abroad.
