Delivery delays and return issues with orders placed through Carrefour during the month of Ramadan have harmed consumers. Customers expressed that they experienced both financial losses and serious disappointment due to grocery shopping that did not arrive in time for iftar and undelivered Ramadan packages.
With the arrival of the month of Ramadan, there has been an increase in demand for online market orders, while consecutive complaints directed at Carrefour have drawn attention. Consumers expressed that they have experienced grievances due to orders that did not arrive in time for iftar and undelivered Ramadan packages and orders.
"I WAS WRONGED AT IFTAR TIME"
According to complaints written to Şikayet Var; a consumer living in Beşiktaş Ortaköy, Istanbul, stated that they made a purchase of approximately 700 TL online at 15:48, specifically mentioning that their cat's food was included in the order. The consumer expressed that despite the order being for 20:00 for iftar preparation on Ramadan day, it was not delivered, saying, "As a fasting family, it is unacceptable to be wronged in this way at iftar time."
The customer reported that the 253 TL cat food included in the same order was later canceled by stating "out of stock," claiming that the cancellation notice was communicated after the product had already been dispatched. The consumer noted that during the return process, they were informed that the refund to their credit card could exceed 15 days, expressing that both their family and the cats at home were affected. They also stated that the 125 TL discount coupon provided was far from addressing the issue.
RAMADAN PACKAGE ORDERS WERE NOT DELIVERED
Another complaint came from Kadıköy. A business representative stated that they ordered two Ramadan packages through Trendyol GO from Carrefour SA Kadıköy Istanbul Fast Market on February 19, 2026, noting that the delivery time initially appeared to be between 18:00–21:00, but was later updated to 19:00–21:00. They said they waited until 21:30 but had to cancel the order when it was not delivered.
The customer expressed that the order amount of 1,599.90 TL was not refunded to their card, stating that they encountered the explanation "return rejected, not approved" in the Trendyol application. Describing the rejection of a return for an undelivered product as "legally and morally unacceptable," the customer expressed that while they wanted to give gifts to their employees during Ramadan, they were deprived of both the gifts and suffered a financial loss.
The common point in the complaints was the delivery disruptions thought to be caused by high demand, stock cancellations, and uncertainties in the return processes. Consumers demanded that the fast market and delivery processes be reviewed in response to the increased demand, that refunds be made without delay, and that measures be taken to prevent similar grievances from occurring again.
