"Our National Team will start its preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with two friendly matches to be played in the United States, where the tournament will be held. The Crescent-Stars will face Mexico, one of the hosts of the 2026 World Cup, in the second of these matches on Tuesday, June 10, at 20:30 local time (03:30 TRT).
The match, which will be played at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, will be the first match at the national level between the two countries. Kenan Stadium, which has a capacity of 50,500 seats and hosts the American football team of the University of North Carolina, will also welcome football fans for the first time in a national match with this competition.
Mexico, ranked 19th in the FIFA rankings, will compete for the title of defending champion in the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup, which will be held from June 14 to July 6. The Central American team, which has participated in all World Cup finals since 1994, will face Switzerland in a friendly match on June 7 before the match against our A National Team.
