A 17-year-old girl in İzmir stated in a video she posted on social media that her father is a substance abuser and has been violent towards the entire family, prompting the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to take action.
In İzmir, E.A., the father who was accused by his daughter B.A. (17) of sharing a video on social media in which he allegedly abused her, her siblings, and their mother, was taken into custody by the police. The suspect's wife and children were placed under protection.
WHAT SHE DESCRIBED WAS HAIR-RAISING
The girl named B.A. claimed in a video she published on her social media account that her father was a drug addict, that he abused them, and that they had no safety. Following this, the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation. In the scope of the investigation, statements were taken from B.A., her mother, and her siblings, and protective and preventive measures were implemented. The suspect E.A. was taken into custody by the police.
A STATEMENT WAS MADE
In a written statement made by the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated, "Upon the detection that a young person made a statement in their social media accounts and in the video they published, claiming that their father is a drug addict and that their family is experiencing significant problems because of this; an immediate investigation has been initiated by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the allegations in the post. In this context, the young person who made the post and their family were identified, and their statements were taken separately. After they stated that they were assaulted by the suspect and that they had no safety, necessary preventive and protective measures for the protection of the female and child victims of the crime were promptly taken by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The suspect E.A. was captured and taken into custody. The investigation processes are being carried out promptly and meticulously by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office," it was said.
