The leader of the CHP, Özgür Özel, commented on the concert investigation concerning the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, stating, "If Ekrem İmamoğlu cannot run, the strongest candidate is Mansur Yavaş. The only name that can defeat him is surpassing Erdoğan in the polls. That is why he is being targeted."
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel claimed that the operations carried out within the scope of the "concert" investigation against the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality have political motives, stating, "Mansur Yavaş is being targeted just like Ekrem İmamoğlu."
"YAVAŞ IS SURPASSING ERDOĞAN IN POLLS"
Speaking to Evrensel, CHP leader Özgür Özel said that the operation against ABB aims to undermine Mansur Yavaş. Özel pointed out that Melih Gökçek announced the operation hours in advance, stating, "It is clear that this is a political operation, not a legal one."
Emphasizing that Yavaş has surpassed President Erdoğan in the polls, Özel stated, "If Ekrem İmamoğlu cannot be a candidate, the strongest candidate is Mansur Yavaş. He is the one who can defeat him. That is why he is being targeted."
THEY ARE LOOKING FOR A CRIME
Özel noted that the individuals mentioned in the investigation started their duties before Yavaş, have undergone inspections multiple times, and no irregularities were found:
"Just like in Istanbul, when they can't find a crime, they are looking for a criminal. The public does not find it right for the judiciary to be used for political purposes."
5 POLLS CAME IN, CHP IS INCREASING THE GAP
Özel stated that the government is trying to undermine the CHP with these moves, noting that the CHP is ahead in the polls, and added:
"These processes backfired. Five polls came in, and in none of them is the AK Party ahead. The CHP is increasing the gap. Citizens are supporting the CHP because they feel wronged. The dirty game plans backfired."
